The Beginning of this Journey...
The Lord began this journey towards our second adoption about 1 year ago. He put on our hearts to sponsor Kay - at Harmony Outreach and we did. When i first saw her, i fell in love with her and prayed for her to join our family. It wasn't until May 2008 that the Lord began to use her to open our hearts to adoption again. That was when we had John Bentley from Harmony Outreach (her foster program) staying with us and he told us that Kay was ready to be adopted internationally. We prayed about her and began the adoption process again. Unfortunately, it wasn't in God's plan for her to join our family but He did use her to open our hearts up to adoption again and we are excited to see where He takes us. We are Trusting in Him.
The Lord has brought Maylynn into our lives and hearts on Nov. 21st (that is when we received her referral). We are excited to see Him bring her home to us. Please pray for the rest of our journey. We can't wait to bring Maylynn home...
Our Itinerary
Here's the scoop:
- July 23rd: 9am leave Pasco to Seattle to Korea to Beijing (on Alaska and Korean air) we arrive in Beijing at 8pm and catch a flight to Nanning at 10pm - please pray that we make this connection!
- July 25th: 1am arrive in Nanning & check into The Majestic Hotel (5 star)
- July 27th: Gotcha day!
- We are hoping and praying that sometime between the 27th & 30th that we will be able to go to Maylynn' orphanage in Guilin.
- July 31: Fly to Guangzhou & check into The White Swan.
- Aug. 1: Maylynn's medical exam :(
- Aug. 4: Consulate appointment
- Aug. 5: Take our oath & get Maylynn's visa!
- Aug. 6: 12pm fly to Korea and Seattle (on Korean Air) then Alaska Air home - we are scheduled to arrive at 5pm but will do our best to catch an earlier flight if we can!:)
In between all of these appointments there will be lots of time for playing and sightseeing.

Have a wonderful trip! Wow, what a whirlwind of a week you have had. I am taking your advice and trying to book a night at the beach for Thursday. We need it.

Im happy you get to stay at the White Swan, our agency tells us they dont have room for our travel group :(
