The Beginning of this Journey...

The Lord began this journey towards our second adoption about 1 year ago. He put on our hearts to sponsor Kay - at Harmony Outreach and we did. When i first saw her, i fell in love with her and prayed for her to join our family. It wasn't until May 2008 that the Lord began to use her to open our hearts to adoption again. That was when we had John Bentley from Harmony Outreach (her foster program) staying with us and he told us that Kay was ready to be adopted internationally. We prayed about her and began the adoption process again. Unfortunately, it wasn't in God's plan for her to join our family but He did use her to open our hearts up to adoption again and we are excited to see where He takes us. We are Trusting in Him.

The Lord has brought Maylynn into our lives and hearts on Nov. 21st (that is when we received her referral). We are excited to see Him bring her home to us. Please pray for the rest of our journey. We can't wait to bring Maylynn home...

Nothing special...

I am sending this post via email – just in case we can’t access our blogger in China – this will give us another option to post.  And well… there just isn’t much else to do at this point so, why not???

But – the only thing on the adoption front to share is that: our agencies China liaison is here in the US right now at our agencies main office.  She (Lily) tried calling the TA processor last night and the TA processor was out sick – so no new info.  They assured me that they would continue to check…

If the attachment works – it is Maylynn in Chinese characters…

So if the person who processes TAs is out sick, does that mean that all TAs are stuck? That would mean that even if he/she is back tonight (Thurs) that TAs still may not arrive until Monday at best? Ugh! Will this ever end?

I know you don't have those answers, just thinking out loud, which I'm sure you are too. I keep thinking that God just needed some extra time for all the parts to be in place for our travel. Let's keep that thinking going!

Marla - you are very welcome - glad i could help ;) i guess this post was something special after all!:)

Jolene - i know what you mean, i was trying not to think about that and hoping that the TA person had already mailed it before she got sick... seeing that it is now 4:30 and our agency is closed - i guess no TA today:(

Kirsten, that's how I'm going to have to update our blog while in China too; it's easy, isn't it?! Hoping you hear something this week. One of us needs to be in Guilin soon! I had the most vivid dream yet last night about meeting Ava Meiying. I still feel foggy from it this morning. -- Sarah
